Seminary to sponsor `Day of Homiletical Reflection`

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will host its fourth annual “Day of Homiletical Reflection” from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. May 3.  The event is designed for pastors, students involved in homiletical education, and anyone interested in the proclamation of the Gospel in today’s world.

Dr. Fred B. Craddock, the Bandy Distinguished Professor of Preaching and New Testament, emeritus, at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, will be the main presenter.  Craddock’s topics will be “Are We Preaching to Post-Moderns?” and “Enabling Listeners to Speak.”

Craddock, an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), was named in 1996 as one of the 12 “most effective preachers in the English-speaking world” by Baylor University, Waco, Texas.

Registration for the “Day of Homiletical Reflection” is $20 and does not include meals.
