CPH offers VBS programs in English, Spanish, bilingual

Concordia Publishing House is offering English, Spanish, and bilingual vacation Bible school programs for summer 2006:

  • Treasure Cove,” VBS Englishavailable only in English, takes children on a treasure hunt through God’s Holy Word.  The five-day program uses different color gemstones to help illustrate five Bible stories and includes crafts and a “Treasure Tunes” CD of music.

    A “Starter Kit” is available for $64.99 (item no. 32-0643), and the “Super Value Kit” — with all “Starter Kit” items plus opening and closing leader pack, skit DVD, puppet, clip art and song lyrics CD, and more — is $144.99 (item no. 32-0641).

  • El secreto del cofre (“The Secret of the Chest”), the Spanish and bilingual (Spanish/English) VBS program, introduces children to “treasures” that teach them about trusting Jesus and how He heals our relationships, welcomVBS Spanishes us, gives us joy, and forgives us.

    The program is adaptable to any setting, and the amount of time and number of volunteers needed are flexible.  Each day begins with a shared time for praise, the narration or performance of the day’s lesson, and the presentation of the Bible story.  Later, children are grouped according to age for more activities.  The last day of the program offers a closing event that parents and guests can attend.

    The program has four age levels and includes promotional materials, Spanish songs, and crafts.

    A leader’s package is available for $45.99 in Spanish (item no. 16-6214) or $49.99 in the bilingual version (item no. 16-6219).  Spanish lesson packs are $13.99 for five students, or $15.99 for bilingual lesson packs (item numbers vary according to age group).
