Balloting to amend the LCMS Constitution has begun, with a deadline of March 16, 2020, for ballots to be received in the Office of the Secretary.
Sias was re-elected as secretary of the Synod, and four members were elected to the LCMS Board of Directors.
The 2019 nominations processes for the offices of President, First Vice-President and regional vice-presidents of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod have been completed.
Receipt of presidential election voter registration forms began on Oct. 25 and will continue until March 24, 2019.
The Rev. Dr. John Wollenburg Sias succeeds the 18-year incumbent, the Rev. Dr. Raymond L. Hartwig, as secretary of the Synod.
