After the Divine Service ended on New Year’s Day, I greeted the four-year-old great-granddaughter of a member of my congregation. “I have a purse,” she told me. I responded, “That’s wonderful. All I have is a wallet and a couple of pockets.” She then observed, “Yeah, but you’re wearing a dress!”

The Egg and I
Our church has a website where members and visitors can look up information about worship services, Bible studies and other events. The site also lists the titles of recent sermons. Last week, I was surprised when the Sunday morning message was posted as “An Easy Yolk.” Fortunately, the webmaster was not referring to a recipe for preparing eggs. He meant “An Easy Yoke” instead.
The Ultimate Upgrade
On a whim, Abraham decided to upgrade his PC to Windows 7. Isaac couldn’t believe it. “But, Dad,” he said, “your PC doesn’t have enough memory!” His father replied, “Not to worry, son. God will provide the RAM.”
