Members of the choir of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orange, CA (Bill Heidi, director) went on a concert tour in Germany. We sang in the small, old church in Leipzig, but it had become the new SELK church. It had no real altar and a rustic cross leaned against the wall. About 50 people attended. But for me, the real moment in history was after the concert—I shook hands with 6 Iranian members of the church. We were told most of them had walked from Iran. We didn’t have a common language, but I nodded and with my eyes I told them God would take care of them.

Our Mission group had heard of the need for Farsi catechism for Muslin people fleeing countries. How much does it cost to publish one. We are considering sending some funds to help with that cost.

Thank you for your comment. A gift of $5 helps cover the costs of printing and shipping a Farsi catechism and enables LHF to continue in its mission. Visit LHFmissions.org or call 1-800-554‐0723 for more information.
